In case you’re thinking Paul has bad English — nope, he’s just still a baby in ASL, learning the language. Usually ASL is done in gloss while English is left as normal. A non-fluent reader may think the ASL characters are “lesser” — so as an experiment I’m reversing things on purpose here, showing Paul’s awkward skills. If you signed out his words, it actually does make sense and could work as “gloss” but it’d be a stop-and-go thing — that’s Paul right now in his growth. :)
